Tom Brady’s work at “The Match” on Sunday wasn’t one highlight reel shot after another. In fact, he had some extremely rough moments. But there was one shot that stood out above the rest during the charity event for COVID-19 relief. It was an absurd demonstration of skill — or luck.
In the competition that pitted Brady and Phil Mickelson against Peyton Manning and Tiger Woods at the Medalist Golf Club in Florida on Sunday, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback birdied a shot on the seventh hole with an absolutely absurd chip shot. He dropped the ball right onto the green, and with a little help from some backspin — how did he do that? — the ball bounced neatly into the hole.

There were definitely moments when Brady was just another guy playing 18 holes on Sunday. This was not one of those moments.
