Tom Brady had a heartfelt response to Bill Belichick’s statement on the QB’s retirement

That’s something.

Much has been made — and should be made! — out of the fact that Tom Brady didn’t mention the New England Patriots once in his initial, nearly-1,000-word statement.

Eventually he did say something on Twitter, but not much. And on Wednesday, he responded to a long statement from his former coach, Patriots legend Bill Belichick, as part of a respond-a-palooza over the past 24 hours to tons of messages on Instagram, from replying to Serena Williams to former teammates like Julian Edelman.

“I am privileged to have drafted and coached Tom Brady, the ultimate competitor and winner,” Belichick wrote in his statement. “Tom was professional on and off the field, and carried himself with class, integrity, and kindness.”

Brady’s response?

There you go.
