Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady made a point of debunking a report about his relationship with Josh McDaniels. Brady said he and McDaniels are “brothers for life” on an Instagram story on Monday night.
His comments follow a report from New York Daily News reporter Gary Meyers, who wrote that Brady’s departure was, in part, a product of his deteriorating relationship with McDaniels. Brady clearly refuted that sentiment with his Instagram story, which showed another website, Pro Football Talk, which had aggregated Meyers’ report.
“Please stop this nonsense!” Brady wrote on Monday night. “Please be more responsible with reporting.”

After 20 years with the Patriots, Brady decided to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency during offseason. Brady delivered the news to Patriots owner Robert Kraft in person before calling Bill Belichick by phone. And while there’s been no shortage of speculation about a deteriorating relationship between Brady and Belichick, this is the first peep about issues between Brady and McDaniels.
