The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Indianapolis Colts have had similar offseasons. Both have undergone uniform changes — although the Colts’ changes are hardly noticeable — and both have signed future Hall of Fame quarterbacks.
The Bucs inked six-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady to their roster, while the Colts signed Philip Rivers after he and the Chargers parted ways. For Brady and Rivers, playing for a new franchise after having such illustrious careers elsewhere might feel strange, but they’ll be happy to know they are in good company.
Take a look at this stat from the NFL’s research department.
Tom Brady and Philip Rivers are expected to be the 5th and 6th QBs to start for new teams after having previously won 100+ starts for a different franchise.
They will join Peyton Manning and Hall of Famers Brett Favre, Joe Montana and Johnny Unitas.#NFLScheduleRelease
