Todd Gurley says it’s ‘all fun and games, but I do need my money’ from Rams

Todd Gurley is growing tired of waiting for the Rams to pay him.

There’s very clearly a public dispute brewing between the Los Angeles Rams and Todd Gurley following the team’s decision to release the two-time All-Pro running back. Since his release, he’s trolled the Rams multiple times both on social media and on Chris Long’s podcast.

When the Rams cut him, he was still owed $7.55 million in a roster bonus, which was subject to offset language. Since Gurley signed with the Falcons, they get to save $2.5 million from that total he’s owed.

Still, the Rams must pay him $5.05 million at some point, and for whatever reason, they haven’t yet. Gurley told D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he’s still waiting for his money.

This week, Gurley tweeted at the Rams, telling them they’re “past due.” He also wrote “send me money ASAP” in the same tweet.

Gurley said shortly after he was cut that the Rams’ decision to release him is all business and he didn’t take it personally, but he still hasn’t gotten his money and he’s growing tired of waiting.
