FS1’s Lock It In Crew discussed each NFC North’s team’s prospects of winning the division. While no one seemed super cheery about their choice, Todd Fuhrman made a case for the Vikings to win it.
Here’s why:
“By default, I’m going to make a case for Minnesota Vikings. Sure, the offense will look a lot different without Stefon Diggs,” Todd Fuhrman said. “Dalvin Cook, largely unsaddled in terms of his contract situation, but I think the Vikings will get that resolved before they start playing meaningful football games.”
If the Vikings can work a deal for Cook, which I personally think they should, then the team will definitely be in contention. Fuhrman also alluded to how some of the veteran talent Minnesota lost this offseason was less than stellar in 2019.
“While the defense loses a lot of familiar faces as far as veterans are concerned, I think it becomes addition by subtraction. You get younger, you promote guys from that second team. I think Minnesota takes a step forward.”
