Today’s Celtics discuss the impact of Kevin Garnett and his legacy in Boston

Students of the game and the team they play for, today’s Celtics hold KG in high regard.

“I was always a fan of Kevin Garnett because of the intensity that he played with,” said Boston Celtics wing Aaron Nesmith in a recent video from NBC Sports Boston that focuses on how the Celtics of today see the Hall of Fame big man ahead of his jersey retirement this Sunday.

“If you watched basketball, you watched Kevin,” agreed teammate Robert Williams III. “You had to try and match his energy and intensity,” suggested big man Al Horford, who has been in the league long enough to have played him several times. “Defensively, he was just very, very, very tough.”

The Celtics of today are students of the game and team they play for both, and had plenty to say in the clip embedded below. To get a perspective from inside the team but outside the fanbase and era Garnett was on an NBA parquet making history, give it a watch yourself.
