During this time of the global coronavirus pandemic, it can be tough to take care of the bills and aspects of your life that you would be able to under normal circumstances. It is important to help others in this time of need and that is what Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris has done.
The Sixers released a press release on Monday that said Harris will step up and help 12 families in Philadelphia and help pay their mortgage, he is going to team up with Chick-Fil-A in an effort to provide lunch to 250 healthcare workers, and he will also help distribute 20,000 children’s books for at-home libraries.
“We’re experiencing one of the biggest crises in the history of humankind,” said Harris via the press release. “Being able to provide kindness to people putting their lives at risk in hospitals and supporting Philadelphia families in dire need of help is an important responsibility for me.”

Harris has received a lot of flack for his 5-year $180 million contract from fans, but he continues to be one of the more proactive players in the league in helping others. Especially during this time of need for just about everybody. Times are extremely tough right now. It’s time to step up and help others in any way it can be done.
