This time in quarantine has had players doing different things to pass the time and make sure that they are staying sane during the absence of basketball. However, there are little inklings that maybe the league could really return this summer.
With that in mind, Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris hopped on “Take it There” with Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks and they discussed who could be in the Finals when the season does resume.
Rooks tried to bait Harris into saying somebody else from the East, but Harris would not budge when he said the Sixers would definitely be in the Finals when the season does resume. When it comes to the West? That is a tougher choice as it came down to the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers.
Harris said:
That’s a tough one. I mean it’s between the Lakers and the Clippers…I’ll go with the Clippers. In their matchups this year, I’ve seen a little bit more in the depth with the Clippers having guys like Lou (Williams), Trezl (Montrezl Harrell) come off the bench. Depth chart, I see the Clippers having a little bit more pieces on their bench.
The Sixers and the Clippers split their season series matchups with each team winning on their home floor. It would be a great matchup as the Sixers would be able to get another crack at Kawhi Leonard who ended their season in 2019 with the infamous quadruple doink shot in Game 7.
Harris was also asked to reveal his all-time Sixers starting lineup and he had a tough time doing so as he said:
You gotta go Allen Iverson, for sure. You have to go with Dr. J (Julius Erving). I got Charles Barkley in there.
Rooks then said that center is easy with Wilt Chamberlain–which it is–and Harris responded by laughing saying:
Yeah, that’s a fact. I was gonna be nice and put Joel (Embiid) in there, but I was like, “Joel, I can’t put you in there over Wilt man. I can’t do it.”…I’m going to take a gamble on the future and put Ben Simmons in there at the 3.
.@tobias31's story about clogging his toilet while staying at home sounds rough 😅

In the early portion of the interview, Rooks get Harris to take his hat off to reveal his hair that is growing out due to his vow that he won’t shave or cut his hair until the NBA season returns. Hopefully, that will be soon for both Harris and the Sixers and their title chances. [lawrence-related id=30677,30661,30655]
