Tobias Harris scores 34 in win over Knicks.

PHILADELPHIA — Former University of Tennessee basketball player Tobias Harris had a big night when the Philadelphia 76ers needed it most.

Harris led the Sixers with 34 points as they outlasted the New York Knicks, 115-106, at Wells Fargo Center Thursday night.

Harris also had seven rebounds and seven assists for Philadelphia, which was without the services of two of its top players. Ben Simmons has missed the last few games due to back stiffness and Joel Embiid is out with a shoulder injury for the 76ers (37-23).

Philadelphia has been dominant at home this season, having won 28 of its 30 games in the City of Brotherly Love. The Sixers, however, are 9-21 on the road this season.

Another former Vol, Josh Richardson, had 11 points, seven rebounds and three assists against the Knicks.

The 76ers lost their last road game at Cleveland, 108-94, on Wednesday.
