ORLANDO — Former University of Tennessee basketball player Tobias Harris scored 15 points in the Philadelphia 76ers 109-100 loss to the Boston Celtics Monday night in the first game of the opening round of the NBA playoffs.
The third-seeded Celtics now lead, 1-0, in the best-of-7 postseason series.
Harris also pulled down eight rebounds and dished out eight assists for Philadelphia, the Eastern Conference’s No. 6 seed, in the game at HP Field House at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports Complex in Central Florida.
Harris, a forward for the 76ers, played 39 minutes in the loss to the Celtics. The much-traveled NBA player joined Philadelphia at the 2019 trade deadline and was acquired from the Los Angeles Clippers.
