Tobias Harris scores 10 points as Sixers defeat Wizards

Detailing Tobias Harris’ performance Wednesday in the season opener for 76ers.

Former University of Tennessee basketball player Tobias Harris helped the Philadelphia 76ers win their 2020-21 season opener Wednesday night.

Harris, a power forward for the 76ers, scored 10 points and pulled down eight rebounds in Philadelphia’s 113-107 victory over the Washington Wizards at Wells Fargo Center.

He started and played 31 minutes.

Harris, a power forward, has played in the NBA since 2011. He has played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Orlando Magic, Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Clippers and the 76ers.

He was drafted in the first round of the 2011 NBA draft by the Charlotte Bobcats and was the No. 19 overall selection.

Harris played for the Volunteers in 2010-11.

He was on the Southeastern Conference’s All Freshman Team in 2011 and was a Second Team All-SEC performer.
