Tobias Harris ranked as 11th best power forward in the NBA for 2020

Philadelphia 76ers veteran Tobias Harris has been ranked as 11th among NBA power forwards.

As the NBA gets set to resume in Orlando in just a few weeks, it is still a lot of fun to take a look back at the season before the league suspension and rank the players at each position.

The Philadelphia 76ers have been a clunky team all season with a lot of guys out of position. For example, Al Horford is really a center, but he is playing power forward. Tobias Harris has been playing small forward for a majority of the season, but he is really a power forward and that is where he will be ranked.

In a top 15 power forwards list performed by Bleacher Report, Harris came in ranked as the 11th best power forward in the league behind Paul Millsap who reached the top 10 rankings.

B/R on Harris:

Harris actually has performed up to snuff following a rocky start to the year. He’s averaging 20.0 points and 3.1 points while swishing 39.1 percent of his threes since Nov. 15.

For all the Sixers’ offensive clumpiness, they’ve fared quite well when Harris sets up shop at power forward—lineup combinations they have at the same time fielded more than you think and not nearly enough. (Translation: What is Al Horford doing in Philly?) His defense has also been pleasantly solid, even relative to the less-squirmy assignments he pulls by seeing so much time between some combination of Josh Richardson, Ben Simmons and Matisse Thybulle.

As the Sixers get set to resume the season in Orlando, there is a possibility that they bring Horford off the bench and move Harris over to the power forward spot. When the season resumes for Philadelphia on August 1, it will be interesting to see what the team does in this situation.
