The Philadelphia 76ers have had their predicted struggles while missing their two best players in Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons along with the team’s glue in Josh Richardson. So, others must step up.
All eyes turned to the team’s two highest-paid players in Tobias Harris and Al Horford. While Horford made a little bit of Sixers history in Thursday’s win over the Sacramento Kings, Harris has quietly been putting up some big numbers in the absence of the team’s heavyweights.
Harris is averaging 26.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists and he is shooting 53.7 % from the floor including shooting 48.0% from deep since the All-Star duo went down. After signing a $180 million contract extension over the summer, these are the types of performances the team expected out of him when they need it.

Philadelphia will need more of the same from Harris on Saturday when the team finishes up a road trip against the Golden State Warriors. They are in a position to complete a 2-2 road trip that seemed very unlikely before the trip began. [lawrence-related id=27251,27242,27232]
