Tobias Harris’ 37 points most in Sixers playoff game since Allen Iverson

Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris did something in Game 1 not seen since Allen Iverson.

Hall of Famer Allen Iverson did a lot for the Philadelphia 76ers franchise during his heyday. When Iverson was at his best, the 6-foot guard from Georgetown would put on some serious scoring performances.

Considering how many points Iverson put on the board, it is an honor if anybody can be mentioned in the same breath as the Sixers great.

Tobias Harris scored 37 points in Sunday’s Game 1 win over the Washington Wizards, including 28 in the first half. That is the most scored in a Sixers playoff game since Iverson put up 37 against the Detroit Pistons in 2005.

The Sixers will need more of this from Harris. This is a good start to their playoff journey and it’s a nice change for him considering his career playoff numbers are not up to his usual standards. If he can keep up this type of production, it would be a huge help for Philadelphia on its run.
