TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge is bringing back voice actors from the 1980s series

Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo, and Raphael will sound like you remember them.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge is going the extra fan-service mile by reuniting the original voice cast from the 1987 animated series.

A report by IGN confirms that Townsend Coleman, Barry Gordon, Cam Clarke, and Rob Paulsen are reprising their roles as Michelangelo, Donatello, Leonardo, and Raphael, respectively, in Shredder’s Revenge. It’s appropriate since the game is a spiritual sequel to Konami’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles side-scrolling beat’em up from that era. That classic is also getting a re-release with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, which should hopefully make it out in 2022.

IGN also got ahold of some gameplay footage of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, and it’s looking like a fanboy’s dream. Just pure, unmitigated pixel art goodness with arguably the most iconic representations of the ninja turtles ever. Check it out below!

An interesting tidbit about Shredder’s Revenge is April O’Neil and Master Splinter will be among the playable characters. Fingers crossed that Casey Jones makes an appearance!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge will release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch. Sadly, there’s no release date for this one yet.
