TJ Warren’s 39 ruins 30-point night for LeBron James, Lakers fall to 2-4

TJ Warren continues to be the NBA’s MVP as the Pacers knock off the Los Angeles Lakers 116-111.

LeBron James played his most aggressive offensive game of the bubble so far, racking up his highest point total so far of the seeding games with 31 points, but the rest of the Los Angeles Lakers were not up to the task on Saturday night as they fell to 2-4 in their six seeding games, losing to the Indiana Pacers, 116-111. The Lakers were the latest team to burn in the flames of the TJ Warren inferno, as the Bubble’s leading scorer poured in a game-high 39 points for the Pacers.

In addition to the play of Warren, the Pacers got 22 points from Victor Oladipo. On the other side of the court, Anthony Davis had an anonymous eight points on 3 for 14 shooting as the Pacers worked hard to force the ball from his hands and double-team him every time he caught the ball in the post. Meanwhile, Kyle Kuzma doesn’t have the same excuse as he went 3 for 14 off the bench without nearly the same kind of defensive attention. The best supporting performance from the Lakers tonight came from Quinn Cook, who scored 21 points off the bench.

The Lakers are back on the court on Monday when they face a potential conference final opponent in the Denver Nuggets.
