Titans-Bills could be pushed back to Monday or Tuesday, Chiefs-Bills to Saturday

The NFL is reportedly considering pushing the Titans-Bills Week 5 game back to Monday or Tuesday.

With the Tennessee Titans receiving yet another positive COVID-19 test result on Thursday, the league is reportedly considering pushing back their Week 5 game against the Buffalo Bills to Monday or Tuesday.

Of course, the issue in doing that is it would leave the Bills in an unfair position being that the team has to take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday in Week 6.

However, ESPN’s Dianna Russini is hearing from Titans and Bills players that it’s still possible the Week 5 game could be moved back to Monday or Tuesday, and Chiefs-Bills would then be played on Saturday in Week 6.

While it remains unclear what exactly will happen, it appears the league is trying its hardest to make this game happen, which is good news for the Titans, who would be lucky to take the field in Week 5 at all.

Granted, even a Monday or Tuesday contest wouldn’t leave the Titans with much or any time to practice, as the earliest they can get back into their facility is now Sunday, but it certainly beats having to forfeit the game.

This plan could all be for naught if the positives don’t stop coming in for the Titans, though.

If the NFL wants to make things easier on itself, the best solution is to create a Week 18. This way, the league can reschedule Titans-Bills for then and it leaves more wiggle room for future games that could be impacted by another team experiencing an outbreak.
