The Tennessee Titans announced a total of four moves on Tuesday, including the parting of ways with defensive lineman Naquan Jones.
As was reported earlier in the day, the Titans waived Jones, a 2021 undrafted free-agent signing who played in 32 games over two-plus seasons in Tennessee.
Along with that move, the Titans released defensive back Dane Cruikshank from the practice squad and added offensive lineman Lachavious Simmons and defensive back Josh Thompson.
Simmons is a new face for the Titans. He was drafted in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL draft by the Chicago Bears but has played in just two games (one start) during his career, both of which came in 2021.
In 23 snaps that season (15 pass-blocking), Simmons gave up two sacks and four pressures, finishing with Pro Football Focus grades of 0.0 in pass-blocking and 64.1 in run-blocking.
Tennessee is already familiar with Thompson, who appeared in six games for the team in 2022. He was also with the Titans in training camp this year but failed to make the initial 53-man roster.
