The Tennessee Titans dropped their third game in as many weeks today when they lost to the Green Bay Packers 30-14 at home.
It was more of the same from quarterback Will Levis as he threw an interception and fumbled the ball once, and the defense struggled for the first time this season.
It wasn’t all bad, though, as Levis and head coach Brian Callahan finally found a way to get wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins more touches on the ball, and the result is Hopkins being named this week’s Player of the Game.
Over the season’s first two games, Hopkins was practically invisible, catching two of three targets for a whopping 17 yards. Today, he caught six of seven targets for 73 yards and a touchdown.
Unfortunately, Hopkins’ play was hindered by Will Levis’ three turnovers, the defense’s inability to stop Malik Willis, and the rest of the Packers’ offense.
Hopkins joined the Titans last year after spending seven years with the Houston Texans and three with the Arizona Cardinals. He has been slowed this year by an MCL injury, but it looks like the Titans are figuring out how to use him again, which is one of the necessary pieces for putting together a win.
