Titans’ updated cap space after L’Jarius Sneed extension

The Titans’ deal with CB L’Jarius Sneed is now official. Here’s an updated look at their cap space.

Now that we have the full breakdown of cornerback L’Jarius Sneed’s contract extension with the Tennessee Titans, we also have an updated figure for the team’s cap space.

With Sneed set to account for just $9.96 million against the cap in 2024, the Titans are now working with $24.7 million in effective cap space, per Over the Cap, which takes into account the amount of cap space a team has after signing at least 51 players and its projected rookie class.

Also per OTC, the New England Patriots, Washington Commanders, Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans are the only teams with more effective cap space to work with, although Houston is set to fall out of the top five once the trade for Stefon Diggs is factored in.

Having that much available leaves the Titans more room to make moves, which they have to do at some point, whether that be before or after the 2024 NFL draft.

The Titans’ biggest remaining needs are at safety, linebacker, defensive line and left tackle. Tennessee could also use a veteran backup tight end and an edge rusher.
