Titans’ updated 2025 draft picks after Chiefs trade

Here’s a look at the updated 2025 NFL draft picks the Titans have after trading DeAndre Hopkins to the Chiefs.

Editor’s note: This article was updated after Ernest Jones IV was traded to Seattle to reflect the most up-to-date list of 2025 draft picks.

The Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs came to terms on Wednesday for wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to don red in exchange for a conditional 2025 fifth-round draft pick.

The Chiefs desperately needed to add a receiver after losing JuJu Smith-Schuster, Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown to injuries. Patrick Mahomes had no one to throw the ball to, and Hopkins now has the opportunity to earn a Super Bowl ring at the end of his career.

The Titans are moving on from this season and looking forward with this trade. They will rely more heavily on Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd, and we’ll likely get to see what Jha’ Quan Jackson can do on offense with Treylon Burks on injured reserve. Jackson might be the spark the Titans need in the absence of Hopkins.

With receiving a conditional fifth-round draft pick in 2025, here are the updated draft picks the Titans have for next year:

Round 1
Round 2
Round 4
Round 4 (via SEA)
Round 5
Round 5 (via KC)
Round 6
Round 7 (via GB)

The details of the conditions that need to be met for the Titans to receive a fourth-round pick instead of a fifth-round pick haven’t been revealed yet but having an extra pick when you’re trying to rebuild is always a good thing.

The Titans face the Detroit Lions on the road in Week 8, and that’s when we’ll see the true impact of this trade, even if it has no impact at all on the offense.
