Titans Twitter reacts to the lack of trade deadline deals

How Twitter reacted to the Titans standing pat at the trade deadline on Tuesday.

As many unfortunately expected, the Tennessee Titans didn’t make any blockbuster (or even smaller) trades prior to the trade deadline.

With the Titans being on a five-game winning streak, some held out hope that the team would find a way to make a move to help them get over the top. At the very least, fans were hoping for some kind of move to strengthen one of the Titans’ weaker position groups.

Truthfully, any significant trade realistically became difficult for the team once the deadline to restructure any incoming contracts officially passed, preventing teams from eating money on a player’s deal to get something done.

In other words, if the Titans were to make a deal after Monday’s restructuring deadline, they would have been forced to take on the entirety of the incoming contract as is, or extend the player altogether.

Nonetheless, Twitter presented a mixture of fans who were upset at the conservative approach, along with others who ultimately understood the decision even if they weren’t exactly happy about it.

Let’s take a closer look at how some of the fanbase reacted to the lack of moves by the Titans on trade deadline day, which fell on Tuesday at 3 p.m. CDT.
