Titans’ top PFF grades from Week 7: The secondary reigns supreme

Four of the Titans’ top five PFF grades on defense went to members of the secondary.

The Tennessee Titans saw a lot of great performances during their Week 7 win over the Kansas City Chiefs, but perhaps none more surprising than that of the secondary.

Coverage has been among the biggest issues for the Titans this season, but that was not the case on Sunday, even with the team missing a trio of key players in cornerbacks Kristian Fulton and Chris Jackson, and safety Amani Hooker.

Of course, the pass-rush no doubt helped, but some of the pressure that group got was a result of great play on the back-end, as Patrick Mahomes had time to throw in some instances but simply couldn’t find an open receiver.

When it was all said and done, Mahomes finished with a season-low 206 passing yards, and the Chiefs notched just two plays of 20-plus yards.

So, it comes as no surprise that four of the top five Pro Football Focus grades on defense go to members of the secondary. Let’s see exactly who earned them as we go over the top-five PFF grades on both sides of the ball.
