Titans’ Taylor Lewan says he’s ‘alright’ after scary Week 6 injury

“All signs are leaning towards him being in concussion protocol,” Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said on Tuesday.

After suffering a scary injury during the Week 6 win over the Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan took to Twitter to say he’s doing fine the day after.

Lewan suffered the injury during the second quarter. After hitting his head on the back of a Bills defender, Lewan laid motionless on the ground for several minutes and ultimately was put on a stretcher and carted off the field.

Later in the game it was announced that Lewan had feeling in all of his extremities, which was a great sign he was doing OK, but he was being evaluated for a concussion.

“All signs are leaning towards him being in concussion protocol,” Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said on Tuesday. “He’s doing as well as he can right now.”

If Lewan can’t go in Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs, he’ll likely be replaced once again by offensive tackle Kendall Lamm. We’ll have to monitor the injury report as the week progresses.
