Titans should expect to face QB Deshaun Watson vs. Texans

If the Kansas City Chiefs lose to the Los Angeles Chargers, the Texans could move from to No. 4 seed to the No. 3 seed.

The regular season finale between the Tennessee Titans and the Houston Texans could be meaningless to the latter team in terms of playoff seeding.

If the Kansas City Chiefs lose to the Los Angeles Chargers, the Texans could move from to No. 4 seed to the No. 3 seed.

But regardless, the team has already clinched the AFC South, and some may see it as smart for them to rest starters like quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Based on comments from coach Bill O’Brien and the signal-caller himself, it doesn’t sound like that’s going to happen.

“We are going to do everything we can to win the football game,” O’Brien said on Thursday in response to if he will rest Watson.

Watson also sounds prepared to take the field.

“I have no idea,” Watson said when asked if he is playing Sunday. “I don’t want to take a day off. I’m not expecting it, just going out there to do my job, find a way to get 11 wins and continue this momentum going into the playoffs.”

The quarterback hasn’t missed a game since he tore his ACL in his rookie season two years ago, and has played through both a collapsed lung and a broken rib in the past.

He’s currently on the injury report with a back injury, and was listed as limited.

The Titans and Texans are set to face off at 3:25 p.m. CST on Sunday in NRG Stadium.
