While the hope was that the Tennessee Titans would trade up in the 2023 NFL draft for a quarterback, they ended up sticking and picking at No. 11 overall after that didn’t pan out, with the selection being offensive tackle Peter Skoronski.

Going into the offseason, improving what was a terrible offensive line in 2022 was one of the biggest priorities. The pick of Skoronski helps that critical need, and in more ways than one.

While he’s labeled as an offensive tackle, many believe Skoronski’s best spot is at guard because of his short arms. I certainly get the concern but, in my humble opinion, his floor is a Pro Bowl guard, making him a safe pick.

Whatever the case may be, the Titans could deploy the rookie at guard if he loses what will likely be a competition with Andre Dillard, who is also capable of playing inside.

If the Dillard experiment doesn’t work out, Skoronski could eventually move to the outside, filling what is one of the team’s biggest long-term needs after Tennessee parted ways with Taylor Lewan this offseason.
