Titans requesting interview with Ravens’ Dennard Wilson for DC job

The Titans are reportedly requesting an interview with Ravens DBs coach Dennard Wilson for their defensive coordinator job.

We have our first known candidate for the Tennessee Titans’ defensive coordinator position under new head coach Brian Callahan.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Titans are requesting an interview with Baltimore Ravens defensive backs coach Dennard Wilson for their defensive coordinator vacancy.

Wilson is now a candidate for two different jobs, as the New York Giants interviewed him for the same position.

The 41-year-old coach has 12 years of NFL coaching experience, nine of which has been spent working with defensive backs.

Prior to his stint with the Ravens, he also served as the defensive backs coach for the Los Angeles Rams, New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles. He was the pass-game coordinator for the Jets and Eagles, as well.

His connection to the Titans comes from his time in Los Angeles, where four of his Wilson’s five seasons overlapped with general manager Ran Carthon’s time there when he served as director of player personnel (2012-15).

In his first year with Baltimore in 2023, the Ravens finished with the No. 6 pass defense. In 2022, he oversaw an Eagles secondary that sported the league’s best pass defense.
