The Tennessee Titans have requested to interview Indianapolis Colts assistant general manager Ed Dodds.

The Tennessee Titans have requested to interview Indianapolis Colts assistant general manager Ed Dodds, according to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Following the conclusion of Week 18, the Titans fired then current general manager Ran Carthon after two seasons at the helm.

Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer recently listed Dodds as one of his potential future general manager candidates. Breer called Dodds one of the NFL’s “most respected evaluators,” noting the key role he played building Seattle’s Legion of Boom defense.

Dodds has been with the Colts since 2017, where he was the Vice President of player personnel. In 2018, he became Chris Ballard’s assistant general manager and has held that title since then.

He began his executive career in 2003 with the Raiders as a scouting intern. Dodds then held various roles with Seattle from 2007-2016 before joining Indianapolis.

Dodds was a finalist for the Carolina GM opening last offseason and also interviewed with the LA Chargers and Las Vegas.
