The Tennessee Titans have added a 10th name to their list of head coaching candidates after reportedly requesting an interview with another on Monday.
According to ESPN’s Kimberely A. Martin, the Titans have requested to interview Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Thomas Brown.
Brown oversaw the worst offenses in the league in 2023, his first season as a play-caller. The Panthers finished ranked 32nd in passing and scoring, and 20th in rushing.
However, it’s important to note that Carolina’s offense was led by a struggling rookie quarterback in Bryce Young, who was surrounded by lackluster talent, to say the least.
Even knowing that, Brown won’t instill much confidence if hired, especially when you consider some of the highly-touted names Tennessee looks to be interested in that have a track record of success.
What he does have going for him is the fact that he’s an offensive-minded coach, which the team should be prioritizing.
