Titans release first injury report ahead of season opener vs. Saints

Here’s a look at the Titans’ injury report following Wednesday’s practice.

After months of endless anticipation, we’ve finally reached the first actual game week of the 2023 campaign. The Tennessee Titans are set to open the season on the road against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon.

From a health standpoint, Tennessee has mostly avoided significant injuries thus far, with the only real exception being Kyle Philips’ MCL injury that landed him on the injured reserve list to start the year.

However, the Titans aren’t entering the season opener without a few question marks that still need to be answered.

More specifically when it comes to wide receiver Treylon Burks, outside linebackers Arden Key and Harold Landry, backup quarterback Will Levis, and backup offensive lineman Dillon Radunz, just to name a few.

While none of these appear to be long-term injuries going forward, there are at least valid concerns when it comes to their statuses for Week 1, as they’ve either missed practice as of late or are returning from a rather significant injury.

Thankfully, we got our first official update on Wednesday regarding how these guys are doing.

According to several local media members, every Titans player was spotted at practice today, although Landry was only seen during the stretching portion of practice.

It should be noted that he may have returned during the team period in which the media isn’t allowed to watch.

Nonetheless, both he and Radunz were officially listed as limited on Wednesday, along with cornerback Tre Avery.

Meanwhile, Key returned to practice without any limitations after missing multiple days the week prior, while Burks continued on his positive trajectory by practicing in full.

Levis also returned to practice fully after missing the final two preseason games, and he seems to be trending in the right direction.

Even though these are undoubtedly positive updates, it should be noted that the injury reports that follow on Thursday and Friday will tell us more about just how likely it is that we see the injured players on the field come Sunday.

Now that all of that has been said, let’s dive right into the first official injury report of the 2023 season.
