The decision with what to do with quarterback Ryan Tannehill is right up there with the future of running back Derrick Henry for the Tennessee Titans — and rightfully so.
Tannehill defied the odds, recording the best season of his career in a year when he was doubted by many.
We already know how great Tannehill was with play-action (140.6 passer rating, per Pro Football Focus) and the fact that he led the league in passer rating (117.5).
But the list of impressive stats just continues to grow, as PFF released more metrics to prove it.
Tannehill was clutch in his fourth-quarter performances. To be more specific, he delivered better than any other NFL quarterback in the final 15 minutes of action, with a passer rating of 123.3 on a minimum of 50 attempts.
There was a large gap between he and Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford (111.6) and New Orleans Saints signal-caller Drew Brees (110.2), who ranked directly behind him in that order.

The Titans are likely in the process of contract negotiations right now with Tannehill, who changed his representation to CAA Sports at a curious time with free agency looming.
Tannehill has made it clear he wants to remain in Tennessee, but with all the options the Titans have between free agency and the talent of the 2020 NFL Draft, it will be interesting to see how things shake out.
