Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill and his team came up just one win short of appearing in Super Bowl LIV.
But Tannehill is sending someone to the big game.
On Monday, Tannehill announced that he had teamed up with USAA and was giving tickets to military veteran Dustin Maxfield.
In addition to his service in the field, Maxfield also helps with service dog arrangements and aids homeless veterans.

From helping homeless veterans, to arranging for service dogs for vets suffering from PTSD & TBI, Army vet Dustin Maxfield continues to serve. Thank you @usaa & @AmericanLegion for helping me get him 2 tix to #SBLIV. I look forward to seeing you in Miami! #SaluteToService pic.twitter.com/Qeeu4koBid

Maxfield served 16 years in the United States Army, beginning his career in 2001 with his enlistment in the Army Reserve, serving with the 209th Quartermaster Company in Lafayette, IN.
In 2007, he enlisted active duty, serving three tours of duty in Iraq and two in Afghanistan from 2007 to 2017. During a night time Airborne training operation in 2015, Maxfield suffered injuries to his legs, head and neck, and was medically discharged in 2017.
The Clarksville, TN resident will be attending the Super Bowl with his father, Rodney Maxfield, a retired US Air Force veteran.
“Staff Sergeant Dustin Maxfield’s sixteen years of service in the US Army in defense of our country justly makes him a true titan,” Tannehill said in a statement. “I am proud to partner with USAA and The American Legion to award Dustin and his father Rodney, a US Air Force veteran, with a trip to the Super Bowl LIV in Miami.”
