Titans plan to hold joint practices with Bucs, Cardinals in 2022

While down at the owner’s meetings, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel revealed the team will hold joint practices with the Bucs and Cardinals in 2022.

While down at the owner’s meetings in Florida this week, Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel revealed that the team will take part in joint practices with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Arizona Cardinals in 2022.

Vrabel also revealed that the sessions would be held in Nashville.

“I think we are going to… I think anticipate practicing against Tampa, and also bringing in Arizona on that third week as well,” Vrabel said.

“Not only is it an evaluation, but it’s also preparation,” Vrabel continued. “These are good football teams. I mean, you saw what Arizona did to us the first week of the season; this is a talented team, a fast team. We know how good Tampa Bay is. And so these are opportunities for us to prepare, and also evaluate our team.”

Tennessee held joint practices with the Bucs and Vrabel’s good buddy, Tom Brady, in 2021. There was no love lost, either, as multiple skirmishes broke out. And, of course, we got our usual dose of Brady-Vrabel back and forth.

The Titans are plenty familiar with Arizona, a team that crushed them in Week 1 of the 2021 season, 38-13. Tennessee went on to rebound nicely after that loss, though, winning eight of their next nine en route to a 12-5 season.
