Titans place LB Joe Jones on Reserve/COVID-19 list

The Titans placed LB Joe Jones on the COVID-19 list on Monday.

As if all of the injuries weren’t enough, the Tennessee Titans now have a player on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

The team announced on Monday that it has placed linebacker Joe Jones on the list. He is the only player currently on it for Tennessee.

Jones has appeared in seven games for the Titans this season, totaling five tackles while playing predominantly on special teams.

Tennessee has been short-handed at linebacker with Rashaan Evans and David Long dealing with injuries. Evans has missed the last four games, while Long has missed the last two.

Aside from Evans, Long and Jones, the Titans have four other linebackers on their roster in Jayon Brown, Monty Rice, Dylan Cole and Nick Dzubnar. The team doesn’t have any signed to its practice squad.

The Titans are no strangers to COVID-19 issues, as Tennessee had one of the worst outbreaks of the virus during the 2020 season. The Titans haven’t had anything close to that this year, and hopefully it stays that way.
