The Tennessee Titans placed cornerback Greg Mabin on the COVID-19 list on the Wednesday ahead of their divisional-round game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Mabin has appeared in five games (two starts) for the Titans this season. He has tallied one pass defended and 10 tackles.
Mabin is the only player on the COVID-19 list for the Titans at the moment, but the obvious concern here is that there will be more before Saturday’s game. Let’s hope that is not the case.
After having a serious outbreak in 2020, the Titans haven’t seen anything like that situation in 2021. Sure, there have been clusters of infections over the season, but nothing like the 20-plus-player disaster of the year prior.
Mabin isn’t the only cornerback causing some concern this week, as Jackrabbit Jenkins popped up on the injury report on Wednesday with an ankle issue.
Tennessee and Cincinnati will meet at Nissan Stadium on Saturday, with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m. CST.
