Titans place Andrew Adams on IR among 3 moves

Andrew Adams was placed on IR on Monday, officially ending his season.

The Tennessee Titans have placed yet another player on the injured reserve list going into the final week of the 2022 NFL season.

The team announced on Monday it has placed safety Andrew Adams on injured reserve, which will officially end his 2022 season. Adams had reportedly suffered a torn patellar tendon in Week 17.

Taking Adams’ spot on the roster is safety Mike Brown, who was signed off the Cleveland Browns’ practice squad. Tennessee also inked defensive back Nate Meadors to the practice squad.

Brown appeared in three games this season, playing all on special teams. He was originally a 2022 undrafted free agent signing of the Minnesota Vikings. Also a former UDFA, Meadors has played in three games in his career.

Adams’ placement on the list now brings the Titans’ current total on injured reserve to 23, and they’ve placed 34 players in total on the list this season, both league highs. Half of the Titans’ salary cap is on IR.

Thankfully for Tennessee, they won’t have to dip even deeper into their bench, as safety Amani Hooker is expected to return. We’ll know more Wednesday when Tennessee releases its first injury report.
