As rumor mills go, every quarterback-needy team in the league has been mentioned as a potential destination for Tom Brady at some point or another. The Titans were one of them, but they have now bowed out of the running, according to ESPN.
As @diannaESPN alluded to, Titans and Ryan Tannehill are now on the verge of a new multi-year extension that would prevent Tennessee from using its franchise tag on the quarterback and keep him as the team’s starter moving forward, per sources.

It was fairly recent that the Titans became a hot name in the running for Brady. And it seemed to make some sense because at age 43, he’s probably looking to sign with a team with which he thinks he can win another ring.
With Tannehill en route to Comeback Player of the Year, the Titans made it to the AFC Championship game this year. Much of the credit goes to running back Derrick Henry and the Titans defense, so you can understand if Brady may have had an interest in leading that squad. The move to keep Tannehill opens the door for the Titans to put the franchise tag on Henry should they choose to do so.
It’s back to the remaining group of teams in need of a QB for Tom Brady’s possible signing. Prior to the Titans jumping into the lead in the Vegas odds to land Brady, it was the Raiders and Chargers who were leading the way.
The Chargers and Philip Rivers recently mutually parted ways after 16 years with Rivers as the starting quarterback. The Raiders have kept their options open as to whether they will look to upgrade from Derek Carr.
