Titans open as road favorites over Bengals for Week 8

The Titans will be seeing the No. 1 overall pick from the 2020 NFL Draft for the first time this season.

After suffering their first loss of the season in Week 7, the Tennessee Titans will be looking to rebound in Week 8 against a Cincinnati Bengals team that is 1-5-1 through seven games.

As you’d expect after the respective starts to the season for both of these teams, the 5-1 Titans have opened as favorites over the Bengals, despite being on the road.

According to BetMGM, Tennessee is a six-point favorite over Cincinnati ahead of Sunday’s contest. That line has moved slightly, as the Titans were originally 5.5-point favorites to start the week.

Spread: Titans -6

Money Line: Titans -200/Bengals +160

Over/Under: 54.5

While the Bengals have seen a rough start to the season and suffered some frustrating losses, the franchise as a whole is moving in the right direction thanks to quarterback Joe Burrow, who looks like the real deal.

Burrow will have a great opportunity to post yet another solid outing in Week 8, as the Titans’ defense has been a sieve against the pass, as evidenced by its allowing the seventh-most passing yards per game this season.

However, that struggling secondary could be getting a huge boost this week. No. 1 cornerback Adoree’ Jackson was designated to return from IR last week and looks on track to play his first game of the season.

Tennessee and Cincinnati will kick off at noon CT.
