Titans not expecting to add another QB ahead of preseason Week 3

Despite the recent injury to Will Levis, the Titans are not expecting to add another quarterback ahead of preseason Week 3.

The Tennessee Titans were thrown a curveball ahead of their preseason Week 2 game after rookie quarterback Will Levis suffered a lower-body injury during the week that kept him out of the contest.

Thankfully, Levis appears to be OK after the second-round pick dressed and warmed up prior to the 24-16 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. He did, however, have a wrap on his left thigh.

Something else that can be construed as a good sign for Levis’ health is the fact that head coach Mike Vrabel noted on Sunday that the team is not anticipating adding another quarterback.

“I don’t think so,” Vrabel said, per Easton Freeze of Broadway Sports. “I wouldn’t imagine us needing to sign a quarterback.”

With Levis out, quarterback Malik Willis got the nod for the entire game, and wide receiver Mason Kinsey served as the emergency quarterback.

Unfortunately for Willis, he failed to seize the opportunity to put more space between himself and Levis for the backup job, although the Liberty product  did enough to remain the favorite going into preseason Week 3.

It’s safe to assume there’s a good chance Levis plays on Friday night against the New England Patriots, which might be the last time we see him for awhile, barring injury.
