Tennessee Titans kicker Nick Folk has been named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance in the Week 2 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
While Folk only made two field goals, one of them was a game-winner from 41 yards out in overtime. The other came at the end of the first half and was good from 33 yards. Folk was also a perfect 3-for-3 on extra points.
Since the Titans traded for him before the start of the season, Folk has turned what was a scary situation at kicker to one fans don’t even think about right now.
That’s because Folk has made all seven of his field goals over two games, and he even knocked through a 50-yarder in Week 1, something this team hasn’t seen a lot of in recent years.

Adding to that, he’s put to bed concerns about his kickoff ability, with Folk achieving a touchback at a 45.5 percent clip, which is way up from his 9.1 percent last season.
