Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel doesn’t post much to social media, but when he does it’s usually him trolling either Will Compton or Taylor Lewan.
This time around, it was Compton who got it from the Titans head coach.
On Friday, Vrabel posted a picture that originally said “Commanders re-sign Jonathan Williams and David Mayo”, but he whited out the names, leaving only “Will” to make it look like Compton was signed.
He tweeted this, also:
“[Will Compton] congrats,” Vrabel wrote. “After a gap year, the journey to Year 10 continues.”
Compton spoke about taking part in his 10th season in the NFL throughout the 2022 campaign but never actually landed on a team, hence Vrabel’s reference to “a gap year.”
He came close to signing with the Atlanta Falcons, but the NFL blocked the former Titans linebacker from inking a deal because of his “business endeavors off the field,” as Compton revealed in late November.
