Titans’ Mike Vrabel talks Derrick Henry, Bengals ahead of playoff matchup

Mike Vrabel says this is a big week of practice for Derrick Henry.

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel discussed what’s ahead for running back Derrick Henry in practice this week, and he touched on the team’s upcoming playoff opponent, the Cincinnati Bengals.

Henry remains on Injured Reserve but has been designated to return. The expectation is that Henry will be activated this week and play in the Divisional Round game against the Bengals.

Vrabel says that this week of practice is a big one for Henry in terms of him getting acclimated. When he takes the field on Saturday, this will be Henry’s first game since he suffered a serious foot injury against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 8.

Vrabel also talked about the Bengals’ potent passing attack, which is led by quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase. He rightly calls Cincinnati’s unit “really explosive” and noted that Tennessee didn’t have answers for it when these two teams met in 2020.

The Titans head coach also heaped praise on Bengals running back Joe Mixon, and he talked about what he expects the atmosphere to be like at Nissan Stadium for this game.

Tennessee and Cincinnati will meet on Saturday afternoon, with kickoff set for 3:30 p.m. CST. The winner of this contest will take on the winner of Chiefs-Bills in the AFC Championship Game.
