Titans’ Mike Vrabel says his son was not sitting on the toilet

No, Tyler Vrabel was not sitting on the toilet on Thursday night.

When the Tennessee Titans were on the clock with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the background of head coach Mike Vrabel’s “war room” video shot became the focus.

In the shot, it looked as though Vrabel’s son, Tyler, might have been caught sitting on the toilet thanks to a potential open door policy in the Vrabel household (Tyler can be seen to the left in the picture).

However, following the draft, Vrabel made it clear that his son was in fact sitting on a stool next to his mom and was not on the toilet, per Erik Bacharach of the Tennessean.

“Tyler was not using the restroom. Tyler was sitting on a barstool next to his mom,” Vrabel explained.

There you have it, mystery solved and disaster averted. Never a dull moment in 2020.

As for the interesting fellow wearing the costume, Vrabel explained that was his son’s friend wearing “The Freeze” costume, which is worn by a member of the Atlanta Braves’ ground crew who races fans during games.

By the way, the Titans also made a pick last night, in case you missed it amid the controversy. Tennessee went on to select Georgia offensive lineman Isaiah Wilson in the first round to bolster their offensive line.
