Titans’ Mike Vrabel, Jon Robinson talk Day 3 picks, not taking a TE, more

Titans GM Jon Robinson explained why the team didn’t take a tight end in the 2021 NFL Draft.

The Tennessee Titans’ 2021 NFL draft is now complete after the team made eight picks in total, including four on Day 3 on Saturday.

Along the way, the Titans addressed multiple needs, and while most picks were well received, there were some we simply didn’t understand. That’s nothing new for any team, let alone the Titans.

On Day 3, the Titans came away with two wide receivers, an edge rusher and a safety. In case you missed it, here’s a look at exactly who the selections were on the final day of the draft:

Round 4, Pick 109: WR Dez Fitzpatrick, Louisville

Round 4, Pick 135: EDGE Rashad Weaver, Pittsburgh

Round 6, Pick 205: WR Racey McMath, LSU

Round 6, Pick 215: S Brady Breeze, Oregon

One of the surprises of the entire draft was the Titans not taking a tight end, which became a need after the team lost Jonnu Smith in free agency this offseason.

After the draft was completed, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel and general manager Jon Robinson touched on that subject, as well as the picks they made on Day 3.
