Titans’ Mike Vrabel addresses Bud Dupree’s legal situation

Titans head coach Mike Vrabel touched on Bud Dupree’s legal situation on Wednesday.

For the first time since outside linebacker Bud Dupree was charged with misdemeanor assault stemming from an alleged physical altercation at a Walgreens in Nashville on Sunday night, Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel commented on the matter.

Before practice on Wednesday, Vrabel said that the Titans are aware of the situation and will continue to monitor it, while also communicating with Dupree throughout the process, per ESPN’s Turron Davenport.

“Obviously, we’re all aware of it, we’ll continue to monitor it,” Vrabel said. “Like always, we try to do everything we can to help our guys make great decisions on and off the field. That’s my response; we’ll continue to monitor it, communicate with Bud, and see how everything will eventually play out.”

Multiple videos of the incident, which occurred just hours after the Titans clinched the AFC South with a 34-3 win over the Miami Dolphins, have since surfaced.

Dupree met with police on Tuesday and is scheduled to be booked on the charge in three weeks. Chances are if Dupree does end up seeing any kind of punishment from the league, it won’t happen until next season.

Dupree and the Titans return to the field in Week 18 at NRG Stadium against the Houston Texans, with Tennessee looking to secure a first-round bye.
