Titans’ Isaiah Wilson placed on Reserve/COVID-19 list

Wilson is the first Titans player to land on the list.

Tennessee Titans first-round pick, offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson, has been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced on Tuesday during a Zoom call between head coach Mike Vrabel and the media.

Wilson is the first Titans player to land on the list.

Landing on the Reserve/COVID-19 list means Wilson has either contracted the virus or been in contract with someone who has.

According to the agreement between the NFL and NFLPA, the team cannot disclose which category Wilson falls under. John Glennon of Broadway Sports shared what the protocols are for a player who tests positive.

The Titans selected Wilson with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and he’s expected to compete for the starting right tackle job with veteran Dennis Kelly in training camp.

He’s the only rookie from Tennessee’s 2020 draft class that remains unsigned.

With a 20-day ramp-up period before players take the field, Wilson should be ready by the time practices begin, but that’s the least of his concerns right now.
