The Tennessee Titans received more bad news on Thursday, as an additional player has tested positive for COVID-19, according to multiple reports
Additionally, one of the two positive tests from Wednesday that was originally ruled as inconclusive has been confirmed.
The other player who tested positive on Wednesday has been identified as wide receiver Corey Davis, who was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list later in the day.
This is just awful news for the Titans, as their Week 5 game against the Buffalo Bills is in serious jeopardy.
The Titans needed three straight days of negative test results in order to get back into their facility by Saturday, but have now seen two days in a row with positive test results.
It remains to be seen if the Titans will be able to play on Sunday if they get no new positives in the next three days, but that might be their only option at this point.
The NFL doesn’t really have the option of pushing the Titans-Bills game back to Monday or Tuesday with the Bills scheduled to take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night in Week 6.
We also can’t rule out the possibility that the Titans are forced to forfeit this game if the positives keep rolling in, especially considering it looks like the team may have violated COVID-19 protocol.
