Titans’ great Derrick Morgan named Week 3 ‘Legend of the Game’

One of the best pass rushers in franchise history will be honored on Sunday.

The Tennessee Titans will recognize another franchise great in Week 3.

Former edge rusher Derrick Morgan has been announced as the “Legend of the Game” for the Week 3 matchup against the Green Bay Packers in Nashville.

Chris Johnson was the Legend of the Game for the home opener in Week 2.

The Titans drafted Morgan in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft. The edge rusher played his entire career in Nashville, ending in 2018.

Morgan racked up 44.5 sacks during his Titans career, behind only Jevon Kearse and Jurrell Casey in career sacks with the Titans. Morgan is sixth all-time in Titans history, including the Houston Oilers era.

Morgan’s best season came in 2016 when he collected nine sacks and 33 tackles. The Georgia Tech product had at least six sacks in five of his nine NFL seasons.

Meanwhile, the Titans desperately need a win in Week 3 to avoid starting 0-3. The 1-1 Packers, led by former Titan Malik Willis, are coming to town.
