Golden Tate posted a heartfelt message to social media, mourning the passing of his friend, Demaryius Thomas.

The NFL world was shocked and heartbroken to learn of the tragic passing of Denver Broncos great, Demaryius Thomas, who was found dead in his home in Georgia on Thursday at the age of 33.

Early Saturday, Titans wide receiver Golden Tate took to social media to post a message and mourn the loss of his friend.

“I’ve tried to type this message too many times today, but I’ve failed each time and it’s broken me down thinking about losing Bay Bay,” Tate wrote. “I’m thankful for the many memories we shared from signing with the same agent, competing daily in the combine training, and being drafted in the same class. The bond we had as youngsters I will forever cherish. Buddy, you are loved, and I still can’t believe you are gone. This one will hurt us for a long time. Rest in Peace Bay Bay.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with Thomas’ family and friends in this unimaginably difficult time.
